[Him can only be Leonel, of course. There are rumours there as well, various different whispers of possible connections between them. Shai runs a hand through some loose strands of her hair, intending to say no more until she's coaxed something further out of him.]

That he's not the only one. [It isn't quite chewing his lips, as he stares towards some far off time and place, but when he returns, his gaze fixes firmly upon her, challenging her to gainsay him.] You don't have to be worth anything to be capable.

And sometimes those with the most "worth" are capable of the least.

[She doesn't quite mean to spit the words. How did he manage to say something that resonated with her? And just what is her so worthy father doing right now...?

She should probably say something more.]

Seems a well-taught lesson to me. But are you sure you're done teaching it? I think there are others who could stand to learn. I'd like to see how far you all can go.

[She gets a smile from him, brief and slight but true. He's staying; he doesn't need to say so. Even if there is only one person in his corner, he has six steadfast friends he cannot let down.

Leonel's looking for him? Hardly a surprise, given how long he's been out of contact. He doesn't want a scene now, though, and dips his head quickly to Shai.] Right. Thank you. [Then he too melds into the crowd.]
