[O-ho. Odette doesn't mean to be distracted, but an entirely different man of note has just appeared in the crowd and it's not an opportunity she wants to miss. She does, at least, have the grace to flash Oberin an apologetic smile.]

Don't get angry at me for this.

[Not that he ever would, not really. He might sulk a tiny bit, but never truly begrudge her. Odette quickly strides into the crowd, not willing to let her quarry get away. Fortunately for her, Visvaldis doesn't seem to be in any rush, and she catches up to him without struggle. The smile she flashes him is a shade less familiar than the practised ease that exists between her and Oberin, but the spark of mischief must come through judging by the way he raises his attention to greet hers.]

I believe you'll have to let me pay this time, hm?

Was that our wager? I was not aware!

[Visvaldis greets her with a hearty chuckle and claps a hand upon her shoulder. Odette's a good adversary, and he attends these festivals precisely because it gives him more opportunity to conduct himself with the other Leaders. Battle is hardly his favourite activity, a fact well-known among them all.

Odette is ever a beauty, too. He squeezes her shoulder gently and adds.]

If that's what m'lady claims as her prize for victory, then consider me at her service.

[And isn't he just as charming as ever, for all his posturing? Odette tries to sigh at his flamboyant words, but can't quite manage to keep a smile from ruining the effect. What to do with a man like this, aside from take him at his word?]
